Explosion near Islamabad’s G‑11, injures at least 12

A blast occurred near the main gate of the G‑11 Islamabad Courthouse on Tuesday, prompting emergency measures at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Hospital.

Emergency services at the hospital have been activated, and injured individuals are being transferred from the site by Rescue 1122, ambulances, and police vehicles. So far, more than 12 people, including those seriously injured, have been admitted.

A heavy contingent of police personnel has also reached the hospital, while Islamabad Inspector General of Police and the Chief Commissioner visited the site.

According to sources, the explosion took place in a parked vehicle on the service road near the courthouse gate. Police sources said three people near the vehicle were injured in the blast.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and security has been tightened in the surrounding area.
