Police have arrested a woman and her male friend on suspicion of murdering her husband, in what investigators describe as a planned killing motivated by a personal relationship.
According to Shah Latif Town police, 30-year-old Ameen, son of Pyaro, was murdered with an axe attack on Friday in Kohi Goth. A case was registered and investigation was initiated immediately. During the probe, the police acted on intelligence reports and technical evidence, leading to the arrest of two suspects – Amina and Ali Akbar.
Police said Amina and All Akbar had developed a friendship a few months ago, after which the two allegedly conspired to kill her husband. The investigation revealed that Ali Akbar, with the help of his accomplice Ghulam, attacked and killed Ameen with an axe. Amina allegedly provided full cooperation. The arrested suspect disclosed that Ghulam had demanded more than Rs40,000 for carrying out the murder, after which the plan was finalised.
