Sonam Kapoor welcomes baby number 2 and shares a heartfelt Instagram post signed by her husband and eldest son

Sonam Kapoor and her husband, Anand Ahuja, have welcomed their second baby, a boy.

The Bollywood star shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, where the couple posted a touching message announcing the arrival of their newest family member.

 “With immense gratitude and hearts full of love, we are delighted to announce the arrival of our baby boy today, 29th of March 2026. Our family has grown, and with his arrival, our hearts have expanded most beautifully. Vayu is overjoyed to welcome his little brother, and we feel deeply blessed by this precious new life who has filled our home with happiness and grace. We are grateful to begin this beautiful new chapter as a family of four.”

The message was signed by both parents as well as their eldest son, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja.

Soon after the announcement, the post was flooded with congratulatory messages and warm wishes from across the film industry.

Celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sandeep Khosla, were among those who sent their love, filling the comments section with messages and heart emojis.

The baby’s grandfather, Anil Kapoor, also shared his joy in a post. Welcoming the newest addition to the family, he wrote, “Welcome to the world, my little one, you are already so deeply loved.”

He also mentioned his grandson Vayu, adding, “Vayu, you’re a big brother now… and I know you’ll be amazing,” before concluding with, “Nana’s heart is full.”

Sonam and Anand, who met before marrying in 2018, welcomed their first child in 2022. With the arrival of their second son, the couple now begin a new chapter as a family of four.
