A woman and a man have been arrested on the charge of murdering her husband and presenting the incident as a robbery.
According to sources, the poice suspect that Safia Bibi and Abdullah killed her husband Mustafa in the Rodala area during night.
She then called the police helpline 15, claiming that at around 3:30am, two armed robbers had entered her home, snatched Rs500,000 and a mobile phone, and shot her husband when he tried to stop them.
Mustafa was taken to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Following the report, the Jaranwala SP and Satiana SHO Aftab Ahmed reached the spot. Upon investigation, the case appeared suspicious, leading the police to take Safia into custody for questioning.
During interrogation, the woman confessed to her crime, after which both suspects were arrested, police officials said.
The murder weapon, a mobile phone, and money were recovered, and interrogation of the suspects was under way. According to SHO Aftab Ahmed, the suspects intended to marry, which had motivated them to commit the murder.

Meanwhile, a man was killed and another injured after being hit by a vehicle. The injured msn was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment.
